Welcome to Miss Orange County / Miss Chapel Hill Scholarship Organization

The Miss Orange County / Miss Chapel Hill Organization is an official preliminary to the Miss North Carolina Organization.  This past year the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Organization provided over $100,000.00 of scholarship monies to young women across our state.  Our organization provides young women the chance to give back to their communities while chasing their dreams and making an impact on initiatives important to them.  Our local organization supports our young women in their pursuit of higher education through community service, pageantry, and fellowship.  The Miss Orange County / Miss Chapel Hill Organization prepares our contestants to face life’s challenges with grace and determination.

LOCAL PRELIMINARY

Miss Orange County / Miss Chapel Hill will be crowning:

  • Miss Orange County
  • Miss Orange County’s Outstanding Teen
  • Miss Chapel Hill
  • Miss Chapel Hill’s Outstanding Teen
  • Carolina Stars

at our pageant October 12, 2024 at Chapel Hill High School.

ORGANIZATION

Miss Orange County / Miss Chapel Hill Scholarship Organization is directed by Dorothy O’Neill, with Kim Ferrell Roberts serving as Judge’s Chair and board member, and board members N. Joanne Foil, Mary Slawter, Jill Bradley Berman, and Kristen Sarles-Lopez.

CONTESTANT INFORMATION

Miss Contestants should be between the ages of 18-27; Teen Contestants should be between the ages of 14-18; and Carolina Stars should be between the ages of 5-12.

CAROLINA STARS

Carolina Stars are girls ages 5-12 who would like to join the Miss Orange County / Miss Chapel Hill family!  Stars do not compete.  They participate in the local preliminary and are crowned on stage with a crown, sash, and Stars t-shirt.  Our Stars will meet titleholders and participate in special community events.
